Purchasing "pre owned" is one of the great ways to snag that designer bag, luxury watch/jewelry or perfect outfit, at a fraction of the original cost!

Some of my favorite luxury jewelry, watches, handbags and clothing items have come by way of consignment stores and their online counterparts, and no one is the wiser except my bank account! Nearly all of them were designated "Like New" or "Gently Worn," with flaws that are virtually invisible to the human eye. It's an especially nice way to indulge yourself, sample a new style trend, or stock up on your favorite jeans.
My go-to online sites are therealreal.com and tradesy.com. Each of these sites authenticate all designer goods, and most items can be returned for a refund (The Real Real) or a credit (Tradesy) if you're not happy with the item. Both sites have frequent sales, but that may mean that your purchase is a Final Sale, so always check carefully before buying.
Likewise, you can also consign some of your overindulgences (you know, that old "buyer's remorse") or items that no longer interest you. I've both consigned and bought, and it's a great way to freshen up (or reduce) a wardrobe, adopt a new look, or splurge on that Chanel you always wanted!
